• The tremie is supported by a pair of chains.

To begin shortening the tremie:

• Remove the funnel
• Clip the lifting bar to the tremie section.

• Raise the tremie an inch in order to relieve the load on the chains.
• Unclip the support chains.
• Raise the tremie to the desired height.

• Re-attach the chains to the tremie.
• Lower the hoisting cable, in order to transfer the load to the chains.

• Remove the sections above the chains.
• Re-install the funnel.
