Fall protection advantages that are unique to EDGEGUARD™

To prevent men & materials from falling through or between rails, there are no large gaps:

EDGEGUARD™ is quicker & easier to install than any other system on the market:

• 11' rails are longer than any other rail, so you require less base weights.
• 11' rails use 10' long uncut studs as toeboards (2” x 4” minimum). Eliminates sawing!
• Every counterweight base has 6 built-in toeboard brackets.
• Rails & counterweight bases are managed by a heavy duty handling system (bins, pallets, carts).

To Build A Railing:

• Simply lay down a base, a stud, a base, and so on.
• This method allows all the bases to be placed first, then all the rails. If toeboards are not required, then simply use one 10' stud as your spacer.
• Consult the manual for more detailed instructions.

Take a look at the NEW Edgeguard Installation video to see how the railings are installed
(4 minutes / 35 MB).

Key Components (Rails, Bases, Pins)

1. The Rails

A large choice of galvanized rails is offered:

An 11' full length rail can be replaced by:

• 2 half rails, or
• 1 gate & 1 half rail, or
• 2 gates

(no adjustment of the bases required)

• All rails accept forklift blades for loading, unloading and storage.

• "Does every storage tube contain a manual?" The clear canister on every 11' Standard Rail allows easy verification of instruction manual availability.
• The yellow toprail (a heavy duty plastic sleeve) identifies the protected area.
• Each order of rails is stamped with a unique serial number for traceability.
• Rails are pinned to weights. 2 standard pins are supplied with every weight.

2. The Bases

2 Base Designs Available
Bolt Down Base
Counterweight Base

The Bolt Down Base:

The Counterweight Base:

• 110 lb cast iron counterweight. 21" x 21" square.

• Two female hubs allow rails to be installed and pinned at 180°, 90°, and 45°.

• Six toeboard brackets accept uncut 2" x 4" x 10' wood studs at 180°, 90°, and 45°.

Weights mate for storage & transport.
Mated weights require half the space!

• A bridge between the hubs allows a hand-pushed, wheeled "Transporter" to pick-up and move weights around.

3. Pins

For securing the rails to the base.

• 3/8" dia. x 3.5" usable length.
